Hi everyone, my name is Frances Hall. I want to tell you about data analytics, that’s what my blog is about. I’ve been working as a business analyst for 5 years now.
Analytics is the process of discovering meaningful patterns in data, interpreting and communicating them. Simply put, analytics helps us identify important information and meaningful data that might otherwise have passed us by.

The primary purpose of business analytics is to make more informed decisions based on the information obtained through data processing, decisions that help companies increase sales, reduce costs and realize other improvements.

I started my data science journey at a small company that created predictive marketing software for e-commerce businesses. After this company was acquired by a larger company, I joined its data science team.

Basically, a data analyst collects and analyzes data, organizes it and uses it to draw meaningful conclusions.

Companies in almost any industry can benefit from the work of analysts, from healthcare providers to retailers to fast-food chains. The insights that data analysts bring to an organization can prove valuable to executives who want to know more about the needs of their consumer or end user.

Regardless of what industry they work in, data analysts develop systems to collect data and generate reports that will help improve company performance.

Analysts can be involved in any part of the process. As a data analyst, you can be involved in everything from setting up an analytics system to providing information based on the data you collect – you may even be asked to train others to work with your system.

Now that you have an idea of what data analysts do, you’re ready to delve into the specifics of how they live and work. Read my articles and you’re sure to find something useful for yourself!
